Of all the joys that life has brought me, so many were from this crazy thing called divorce.I got a life partner who I adore completely and who loves and respects me and loves our children as fiercely as any biological parent could. And 4 new brothers who have brought so much to my life.
I got a wonderful stepfather-and with that came a happy mother and two amazing step sisters and brothers in law and a minister and nephews and all the joy and crazy and food that having a large family brings.
I was blessed to have a step-grandmother for the last 12 years of my life who embodied love. I have never in my life met someone who emitted pure kindness and love and joy the way she did. She was someone who was truly interested; when she asked you a question, she really wanted to hear what you had to say.
There will be a hole as wide and deep as the ocean with her gone, but a love wider and deeper because she was here.
Rest in peace Grandma Mollie. You will be missed.
