November 8th is special in our house for two reasons. Right now I give you reason #1. I tend not to be a sentimental person, which means I have a habit of throwing things out as quickly as they come in the house. If it was not for Facebook.
there might be no proof my children actually exist, except for grey hairs and stretch marks. But I digress. Luckily I married a man who saves more things than I do. That's how I know that on November 8th, 1988, in a basement chorus room in Sheepshead Bay High School, that Jon Scondotto asked me to be his girlfriend. He gave me his ring and I wore it around my neck as I have the hands of a 10 year old. Life took us in many directions, some amazing and some less so, but here we are today, 27 years later, making a life and a home and a family together. I love you papa bear. Really and truly. Happy anniversary. (the following is how I know it's our anniversary; it's what I wrote in his yearbook!)
